Margee is a family business, founded in 1933, by Margery Magauran and now managed by her son, Anthony. Interviewed in 1970, Margery commented:
 “Frequently I am told that coming to Margee is just like coming home. The clients are appreciative of the help given by the staff with their genuine nothing-is-too-much trouble attitude”
An approach kept up by Margee today.
Since 1968 Margee has been located in China Street, Lancaster. We have six showrooms on two floors and a designer department, Jade, opened in 1998.
In 2007, Margee revived the Miss Morecambe contest in response to a local appeal. and was named “License Holder of the Year” by the Miss England organisation.
